Overview

Due to our continuing expansion, we are currently seeking to recruit Assistant Managers to join our Audit Department in Athens.

We are looking for auditors to manage the firm’s audit clients in accordance with the guidelines set out by the firm and ensure that work done is in accordance with the BDO Audit Methodology.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible to the audit engagement manager and partner on all major matters concerning the clients’ audit.
  • Develop and maintain productive relationships with client management and assess client satisfaction.
  • Communicate ideas/opinions and information to the audit team and listen/respond to other team members’ views.
  • Monitor team’s work to ensure it is consistent with the firm’s quality standards, audit approach and the firm’s risk management policies and procedures.
  • Be conscious of professional liability.
  • Any task reasonably assigned to the staff member and within their skill set.

Requirements

Potential candidates should fulfil the following criteria:

  • 4 – 5 years of working experience in audit firms
  • Currently in public practice or having recently been in public practice.
  • Holders or in the final process of acquiring a professional qualification (JES, ACCA, ACA, METKEL).
  • A team leader able to manage a varied and large portfolio of clients and provide value-added services to new and existing clients.
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and oral Greek and English. Strong personality with excellent presentation skills.
  • Proactive with staff and clients and able to work under pressure to meet client expectations and deadlines.
  • Represent the Firm in a professional manner at all times through punctuality, appearance and presentation.
